Course Description
This course provides a practical overview of the 2017 World Workshop Classification of Periodontal Disease and its application in everyday clinical practice. Participants will learn how to use staging and grading to diagnose periodontal disease, recognize clinical findings that require closer evaluation, assess prognosis and risk for disease progression, and determine which cases can be appropriately managed in the general dental practice. The course will also explore when specialist involvement may benefit the patient, what patients can expect from a periodontal referral, and real-world surgical cases highlighting diagnosis, treatment, and clinical outcomes. An interactive case discussion and Q&A will reinforce key concepts and support their application in patient care. Participants will earn one CE Credit.
